We are sure that you are as relieved as us to be leaving level 3 and taking another step closer to getting back involved in the sport we love. A special thanks to all the parents/guardians out there who have managed to keep Netball going in some form in their bubble.
Further to the government announcement around level 2 restrictions, Sport New Zealand have revised their guidance for operation of community sport at this COVID-19 level. Click here for the updated information.
In short, they have confirmed that the current 10-person limit does apply to all community sport and that the next two weeks will form a ‘get ready’ phase. In this time Hawke’s Bay Netball will do everything it can to ensure that when the great light is given for training, that we are able to facilitate it as best as possible.
For the avoidance of doubt, all training at Hawke’s Bay Netball venues remains on hold until the go-ahead information is passed from Netball New Zealand. General Manager, Tina Arlidge, has been involved in the regular meetings with NNZ and other Centre’s and we will ensure that we keep our Hawke’s Bay Netball community as up to date as possible.
With greater clarity around the timelines for training and competitions we have been working on updating the possible structures which we can put in place. We will be discussing these and gathering community information on the best collective way to move forward at our online meetings on Friday.
