Hawke's Bay's Kimiora Poi, formerly of Napier Girls' High School has been selected in Noeline Taurua's Silver Ferns squad for the Up and coming Quad Series in England.
It has been an amazing year for Kimiora, having starred in the FAST5 Ferns in Melbourne after a terrific ANZ season, where she was named Rookie of the Year for the Mainland Tactix.
Silver Ferns Head Coach, Noeline Tuarua had this to say; '
“This mid-court is an area we are continuing to develop and we felt that we needed to strengthen those combinations. We felt that both Kimiora and Whitney bring something different to the centre and wing attack positions – they bring a new set of skills to the role, are extremely fit and also show a confidence for such young athletes.”
Congratulations Kimiora and all the best for the Quad Series.
We invite anyone that wishes to watch the opening Silver Ferns game to join the Hawke's Bay Netball staff at the Netball Community Room, HB Regional Sports Park for a 7am start on Monday 14th January 2019.
