Olivia McKinnon has been appointed as the new Development Coordinator effective from 11th July 2022. Hawke's Bay Netball has been without a Development Coordinator for 2months with the shift of Arama Jackson to the Communications Administrator role in April 2022.
Olivia moves across from Iona College as the Sport Coordinator and Teacher in Charge of netball, bringing with her knowledge from the school sector as well as event management experience. Her involvement in large events such as Globals Games, NZ Junior Rugby Festival and World Master Games will provide added value when organising large events like competition finals as well as Court in the Bay tournaments.
Hawke’s Bay Netball’s newly appointed General Manager Denise Aiolupotea said Olivia will be a great asset to the team. Her event management expertise and secondary school lens will be valuable to our team and crucial in her role as she coordinates a large number of programmes focusing in the secondary sector. Olivia has just gained her centre badge which is fantastic for the role as one of her main focus areas will be to increase umpire capability within our clubs and schools.
“I am so excited and proud to be named as the new Development Coordinator for Hawkes Bay Netball. I look forward to being instrumental in implementing and supporting our successful Netball Centre and assisting with the development for the future of Hawkes Bay Netball. I thrive in a positive team environment and look forward to the challenges and friendships I'll encounter on my journey”.
Hawke’s Bay Netball is celebrating 10 years of operation under the current umbrella and Olivia is the fifth development coordinator (previously named Development Officer).
Olivia will join the team at the back of the season which will allow her time to settle into her new role, learn the ropes and enjoy planning in preparation for the 2023 season.
Ends.
